Advanced Graphics Engineer
Work with a highly advanced graphics system, providing extremely low latency at massive scale. Must have very strong graphics programming in OpenGL and C++. Previous graphics engine development a significant plus.
Stirling Labs develops high performance virtual reality collaboration systems that is deployed in a mission critical environment. With a strong focus on real-time & multi-threaded software development you will work with a small, dedicated team of developers. This growing team seeks a highly talented Advanced Graphics Engineer to work on components of our high-performance graphics system.
This is a startup development environment so you can make a big difference but it is a well-managed shop so hours aren’t crazy. Developers typically work independently on a mix of short term (1-2 days), mid-term (1-3 week) and long term (1-6 month) projects. To work in this fast paced, dynamic, and demanding environment you must be an exceptional C and C++ programmer with strong experience developing OpenGL on Windows.
Enhancing our high-performance VR graphics engine
Developing new software as well as enhancing our existing systems
Investigating and implementing novel ideas for improving quality and throughput of truly massive 3D models in real-time
Optimising distributed, multi-threaded systems with a strong emphasis on performance and latency
Developing real-time, multi-threaded code for Windows
Working with highly advanced hardware (including development hardware) in a fast-paced development environment
4+ years of professional C++ programming experience (open to junior and senior candidates).
Experience with large projects.
Strong experience with OpenGL is required, Vulkan & Metal experience is desirable.
Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience.
